Since taking over as artistic director of Schiaparelli last year, Daniel Roseberry has recorded some notable red carpet successes, so it might seem he really does a good job here.
Roseberry said in a preview that he wants to be able to dress both celebrities like Beyoncé and Cardi but also the executive in New York who’s on the board of some museum. This duality was reflected in the show, as expected. On the one hand, there were loosely draped silk dresses and slouchy tailoring dripping with Surrealist jewels. On the other hand, there were gowns that run the gamut from minimal. You can also see the star colour of the year the classic blue, according to Pantone in the show.
